El gran ganador de la noche fue el director Martin McDonagh, quien consiguió tres galardones, Steven Spielberg logró imponerse con dos de las categorías más esperadas con “The Fabelmans”, Una de las mejores sorpresas de la noche hasta el momento es que el mexicano Guillermo del Toro se llevó el Globo de Oro a mejor película animada por ‘Pinocchio’.
Al recibir el premio, reconoció la labor de su equipo de colaboradores y expresó que ha sido un buen año para el cine y por consiguiente para la animación, aclarando que se trata de un género no exclusivo para los niños, sino un medio.
